Chapter 12
As I walked I thought about my wolf and how I wanted it to come alive. The surface of the cave was damp and it got worse as I went along. The ceiling was high with sharp rocks sneering down at me. Seconds later a crystal blue pool materialized in front of me.
I swallowed. Blair didn’t mention getting into a body of water. I turned and she wasn’t there. She’d gone into another cave or chickened out on me. I wouldn’t let her live it down if she chickened out. As I neared the crystal blue water I noticed it was unstable, the current was rough and rushed toward a small opening through the rocks.
It felt too dangerous to go in, but if I wanted my wolf I was going to have to take the risk. What if this didn’t work? A hand popped out of the water and gripped the edge of the rock. I screamed and hit a solid wall.
