Gabbie POV

“You need to rest, Gabbie,” Kade ordered.

“I have to help find her.”

“Your Dad’s tracking her. That’s good enough. It took a lot out of you, babe.”

Dad was adamant the hunter’s spear would hurt her more than it did to me because she wasn’t its original holder. I saw the greed in her eyes. As much as I wanted to resent her, I was scared she might die. She was born a human in a shifter family.
