Gabbie POV

“Gabbie, babe,” Kade said, his lips curling into a smile.

Gabbie, babe? That’s the best he could come up with? I haven’t seen Harlow for a long time, and I didn’t ever want to see her again. When did she arrive in the pack? She didn’t bother to hide her disdain for me.

I dusted my surprise off and slid next to Kade and stared at the map on the table. I pretended I knew what the hell they were talking about.

“Good, the Lunas’s finally joined us. Maybe she’ll add some sense to all this,” Alpha Titus said.

 Last I heard, his son left the pack because he didn’t want to be Alpha.

He was an old man with a head full of grey hair, but he was the type to fight until he took his last breath. At this rate, that might be his future.

Harlow laughed spitefully. All heads turned in her direction.

“Harlow,” Kade warned.

She rolled her eyes in response.

“No, Kade, let her talk. Got something to add, Harlow?”
