Gabbie POV
“This is a bad idea,” my wolf said.
“Be positive,” I growled.
I hid in the bushes and made myself small. My white fur made me visible than other wolves. From where I sat, I saw dozens of wolves on the back lawn, lying lifeless.
“He’s not one of them,” my wolf said.
That was comforting. The barking and howling had stopped a while ago, but the ground shook with heavy footsteps, and I knew someone was coming.
I backed into the bush and saw two Alpha wolves dart out of the woods and towards the house. Not far away were a dozen others chasing them.
