Gabbie POV

It was near midnight and our troop hadn’t left yet. Axel and Tristan left hours ago to track Kahn’s whereabouts. Somewhere near ten o’clock we’d lost contact with Axel and Tristan the last piece of information we received was they had grabbed Axel’s scent. Tristan went along because Kade had trust issues.

Kade zipped up my leather jacket.

“Stick close to me at all times, Gabbie.”

“Yes, I know.”

“If anything goes South and I say run you have to run.”

“Will you stop that! Nothing’s going to go wrong.”

He grabbed my shoulder and levelled me with his stare. “Just be careful.”

I had the dagger strapped to the inside of my jacket. I wore thick leather gloves too. Kade wasn’t keen on the idea of me keeping the knife. We couldn’t leave the pack unattended so we left Atlas in charge Kade’s Dad was still recovering apparently Axel had a very bad bite.

Minutes later we filled two SUVs. A few betas ran the forests
