Kade POV
Eight Months Later
“Gabbie!” I called.
“Leave me alone,” she replied.
I chuckled. She’s been pretty exhausted for the past few weeks. The baby’s been hyperactive I think he’s ready to meet us. Good thing I managed to get the baby’s room together.
I found her in the living room laying on the mattress she demanded I remove from the guest room. She stared at me.
“This is all your fault,” she grumbled.
“What is, sweetheart?”
I flopped on the mattress next to her, kissed my baby and kissed her cheek.
“You’re the reason I can’t see my feet and why they’re swollen. I can’t get up without help.”
I laughed. “You’re gorgeous. You know that, right?” I winked.
She smiled.
“Do your feet hurt?” I asked.
“Everything kind of hurts. I don’t know how to explain it.”
I frowned. I ran my hand over her belly. I felt our little boy kick.
“Ugh, he knows you’re here.”
