Stormy POV

“You’re leaving now?” Axel asked.

He met me in the kitchen.

“Alex asked me to keep my distance and I’m not going to fight him.”

Axel frowned but extended his arm to give me the medicine. Since the medical care at the Institute was close to non-existent so I accepted it.

“Thanks,” I mumbled.

Axel’s heated gaze left me. He tipped his chin.

“Where the hell have you been?” he asked.

I turned to see Alma marching towards us with her head in her hands.

“I don’t want to talk about it,” she grumbled.

That might be a hangover talking. She nearly emptied a barrel yesterday all thanks to Lyle.

“Stormy! I’m so sorry, I came to get you last night but I got carried away… oh I think I got us in trouble too.”
