“You? What are you doing here?”

The petite woman pushed passed me and trotted into the living room.

“You have some nerve, Alex! How long have I known you?”

“What's this about Lettie? How did you even find me?”

“You’re going to ask a Seer a dumb question like that?” she scoffed.

“Right, my bad. What did I do this time?”

She swatted my chest. “You didn’t tell me about your girlfriend. She seems so sweet. That’s why you haven’t been blowing up my phone for answers.”

“I don’t do that,” I mumbled.

I marched over to the couch and threw myself on it. Stormy’s broken face flashed in my mind again. My wolf was quiet today. His smart ass hadn’t said a word. He got quieter when I saw Stormy’s bruises. I’m such an idiot why did I think I could make something good out of this?

I was so drawn to her.

I love her determination and her drive. I constantly want to protect her and have her snuggled up beside me
