Kelly POV

Harper finally opened her eyes. The moment her lashes fluttered and she let out a soft, drowsy sound, Aiden and I practically collapsed in relief.

"Mom?" Harper’s small voice croaked.

"I’m here, baby." I brushed her hair back gently, forcing a smile even as my heart clenched. "You scared me."

Aiden let out a choked laugh, rubbing his eyes. "Us. You scared us."
