Scarlett’s POV
“Do not put words in my mouth, Jaxon.” With the full moon hours away from gracing us with its purifying light and presence, my wolf was restless. The last thing I wanted was any altercation between Jaxon and me.
“It’s the truth!” the man fired back, his breath coming in short puffs. I could feel his raging emotions in our bond, swirling around the string that held us together. His wolf was in a battle with his human side, demanding for him to talk to me calmly. I couldn’t explain how I could suddenly feel separate his feelings from his wolf.
