Alpha Jaxon’s POV

“This is why you should have said no when she came to you with that fucking suggestion.” I walked back and forth in Astra’s sitting room, my eyes trained on my mate on Astra’s sofa.

“She is my Luna,” Astra simply stated, perusing her spell book.

“What is the matter with you? You do not want me to take her to the infirmary and yet you sit there nonchalantly as if my mate isn’t unconscious.” She placed the book aside, beside her recliner and slowly stood. The voices in my head were getting louder, it was becoming harder and harder to control them.

“This.” She pointed at Scarlett. “Is not something the doctor and the healers can treat.”

“So do something then!” I threw my hands in the air.

“I can’t, you said you can hear voices in her head, can you make out what they’re saying?” She clutched the shawl around her shoulders tighter, her eyes never leaving Scarlett’s form.
