Book 2: A Momentary Meeting

Hera’s POV

I peered from the window and saw Felixe follow Alpha Titanus into the castle. There was chaos all around. I could hear guards rushing everywhere outside my door. What was happening? Did they capture Felixe? There was no way of knowing, and I peered out the window.

To my utmost horror, I saw Felixe dangling from a narrow ledge on the second floor. Guards were looking for him from the balcony above. My breath hitched, and I clamped my mouth shut with both hands. I just prayed to the Moon Goddess for his safety. How could he risk his life?

I looked around for something to help him with. There was nothing except the bedspreads and curtains. Could I tie them together and throw them outside for him to use? I got to work as quickly as I could, tying the five bedspreads in the room. I took off the curtains and tied them too, end-to-end, to form a long rope. Tying one end to a pillar in the room, I dangled the other end outside the window. Felixe
