Lyra’s POV 

I didn’t know what he had in mind. Yet I showed my readiness for whatever he wanted to do. I didn’t want to portray myself as a coward. I would definitely tackle whatever he threw my way! 

“Come with me!” His eyes glittered with amusement as he beckoned me. It immediately made me suspicious. 

“Where?” I stayed where I was, making no move to get up. 

“Are you afraid I would punish you for punishing me?” The smirk on his face told me he was reminding me of my shameless act. Why couldn’t he let it go? My cheeks flushed with color and I wanted to die out of shame. How could I have been so reckless? Why did I have to kiss him? My lips still felt his warmth, although he hadn’t kissed me back.
