Chapter 18
The maids brought in food and drinks, and Draco told them to eat, telling them again how he appreciated their presence. He knew they would be tired from the long journey and also assured them their rooms had all been prepared with warm baths waiting for them all.
The mages laughed and thanked him for his hospitality and thoughtfulness.
Draco smiled at them. “I brought you all here from your comfort zone so you can help me. The best I can do is to be a good host.”
“You have a lovely mate. I must confess,” one of the mages praised Mia.
Mia blushed and smiled. “Thank you.”
They all started to eat, but Mia noticed that the mage who had praised her kept looking at her. She scowled, feeling uncomfortable, and had no way to subtly tell Draco what he was doing without drawing unnecessary attention to herself.
