Danica’s POV
“You don’t have to worry about where you’re going to stay. You’ll use my room for those three days you promised,” Alexander muttered, smoothening my hair gently.
“What?! No! There’s no way on earth I’m going to use your room,” I blurted quickly, and I could swear I saw a tiny smile curl up the corner of his lips.
He was messing with me again.
“Why not?” He asked, his tone as serious as ever. If I hadn’t seen that annoying smile, I’d have thought he was serious and made an embarrassing mess of myself again.
Instead, I pouted, frowning slightly before asking. “Are you seriously suggesting that right now? It already seems weird enough to have you picking me up for a trial without the proper application process. I spend three more days sleeping in your room, and you can guess what will become of me in front of everyone in the Pack house,” I muttered calmly. I saw his jaw tick, but he said nothing.
