Alexander’s POV

“Please, just let me see her, Blake… I promise, I won’t make a scene,” the argument and pleas continued for the past five minutes and I was sure Blake was already threading on his thinnest thread of all that hesitation.

But I couldn’t let her come in and see her like this. If they were as close as they seem to be, who knows what she would do if she finds her best friend like this.

Personally, I would never be reasonable while lashing out if something like this happened to Blake. Just like now. I wasn’t lashing out as an Alpha. I was lashing out as a mate in despair. And I didn’t care that I would be putting many others in despair.

I didn’t want her to ruin things for me. Especially not the plans I had for everyone related to how she ended up like this.
