Alexander’s POV

“I wasn’t thinking about anything…” Danica muttered, but her fluttering eyes and the color in her face gave her off. I would love to tease her more but she needed to rest. I would hate to see those ugly eye bags tomorrow morning.

“Fine, I’m not arguing with you, but we have to go to bed, now!” I muttered, sternly, striding to the other side of the bed to grab her hand. Then I pulled her along with me, regardless of the resistance she tried to put on.

“Wait. But we don’t have to sleep together since we’re not doing anything, anyway…” She tried to convince me but I wasn’t having it.

“Unless you’re disappointed that I’m not going to touch you tonight, Dani, then you shouldn’t argue with me on this one. It is pointless through and through,” I said and that did it. She went silent. Her resistance reduced, though not completely, but relatively. Just enough to make me understand that she’s just going with me because I was giving her no choice
