Scarlett’s POV
I looked ahead, and William was standing in front of a shopping center. I furrowed my brow, not understanding why we were here. We went in, and the guy smiled at all the employees, then spoke to a manager. I stayed waiting for him to come back in a corner, feeling like a lost child.
“Everything’s settled,” he mentioned with his charming smile.
“What did you settle?” I furrowed my brow.
“We can use the elevator!” he exclaimed.
I looked at him with horror and turned around to leave. He was crazy if he thought I’d use an elevator. Hadn’t he heard what I told him?
“I’m going to help you overcome your claustrophobia.”
His hand was holding my arm firmly. It didn’t hurt, but it made me feel restrained.
“I can’t do it, alright?”
“Of course you can. I trust you.”
“I thought we had left this stage behind.”
