“My parents sometimes take exaggerated measures; this is one of them. They want me to come back so I can get married and pretend to live a happy life next to Mérida. What the hell, don’t you think? I don’t want to get married; you know that.”

“I know,” I nodded distractedly, “You should talk to your parents.”

“Impossible to try to talk to them; they only listen to themselves. I don’t know what’s on their minds. Especially Dad, who’s always loved Francis, who doesn’t put effort into anything in life.
