Chapter 123. Fearless

Afhany bent down and helped Moses to his feet. His weeping told her that they did not have much time left. She took him to her chamber and laid him on her bed. She took off his clothes and her own and lay beside him, letting him cry on her chest.

Moses was very shaken. She wished she had some comfort for him, but unfortunately she did not. She didn't know that the warmth of her arms had the power to calm him and gradually he stopped. When he had only a few sobs left, he took Afhany's face in both hands and stared at her as if there he had the answer that would save his life.

"What happened Pharaoh?" She asked more to let him vent his pain, for she already had an idea of what had happened.

"Thomás has returned..." He said after a while.
