Derek threw the glass of brandy on his desk at the wall, loving the sound it made as it smashed against the wall. What a lucky bastard Adam was! He kept escaping all the traps he had in store for him, and now, his wife had also been infected with his dose of danger-escape magic. He hissed, boiling with rage, his chest moving up and down with his frustration.

Erica had thought he was trying to hurt Adam because of Adam, but she didn’t know better. He wanted her hurt because she had dared to reject him when he offered her his heart instead of her getting married to Adam.

He hissed as he scrolled through the news of how Erica got herself arrested while trying to get a thug to rape Veronica and shook his head at how stupid she was for getting herself arrested. It seemed like the blogger had a personal grudge against Erica as the way the story was buttered up, Erica was painted as the devil’s boss, and no one who read the news would have any choice but to hate her.
