Carolina was startled by his reaction. She stammered, "I didn’t mean to… If there’s something wrong with her mental state or she’s facing any issues, it might be better for her to seek professional help. I didn’t intend any harm…"
Red’s anger intensified, and he took a few steps closer to her. Without warning, he gripped her throat tightly, his words seething with fury, "You think you can play the role of a do-gooder? Do you think her condition today is your doing?"
Carolina struggled to speak, her voice barely audible, "I’m not pretending… I… I genuinely thought it might be better for her to seek help… I didn’t mean any harm…"
Red’s eyes bore into hers, his anger palpable. The room seemed to close in around her as fear coursed through her veins.
