As he passed by Carolina’s room, he hesitated for a moment. His hand reached for the doorknob as if he was about to open it. He heard Zohar’s words in his mind, "You’ve fallen in love with her, haven’t you?" He quickly withdrew his hand and continued walking.
He always reminded himself not to fall in love with this woman. Even though he maintained the calmness of a deep lake, she often stirred up small ripples.
Carolina stayed in her room, reading. Toma, the butler, and Red didn’t allow her to roam freely within the Vincent family, so she obediently stayed in her room. Even her meals were delivered by a servant.
