Chapter 47. Strange

Lady Hildred knew that at this moment, Fiona was a bit swayed already, so only a bit of a push was all she needed.

She looked at the water in the spring, a smile on her face as she gently took small, lazy steps towards it. Standing on the edge of the spring, she said to the princess.

“Whether what I am saying is the truth or not, wouldn’t you know for yourself when Evangeline comes out?”

“What do you mean?” came the princess’s cold voice.

Running a finger through her ginger hair as she continued looking at the water as if a treasure was inside, Lady Hildred explained. “This sin she has committed, if your Big Brother heard about it, even though the Moon Pearl has been found, he would definitely punish her.”

As well as she knew him, she knew he was extremely cruel, and his heart seemed to be made of nothing but rock-hard and impossible to enter. So not gaining his affection even after so long didn’t hurt her that much, but something out of her expectation
