When Evangeline awoke, she instantly sensed that something was amiss. Slowly, she opened her eyes and focused on the sight before her, and her eyes widened when she realized what was going on. Instead of the Alpha King’s familiar visage and her head on the pillow, she was facing his legs with her head rested on his stomach, and her hand rested on something long, thick, and radiating warmth.

Shock coursed through her, rendering her unable to speak or move for some seconds. Her mouth hung agape in disbelief at what she was doing until the morning voice of the man beside her, which was sexier and deeper, snapped her back to reality. “Are you having enough, my love? If not, I could remove my pants for your pleasure.”

Hearing such words so early in the morning left Evangeline’s ears ablaze with embarrassment. She swiftly withdrew her hand and stood up, muttering under her breath, “Shameless.”
