Book 3: Convincing Him

Anacá's POV

He looked so furious, I knew what was in store for me. Even Aunt Dana was ill at ease. 

“We asked her to stay back with us, Eros,” said Uncle Jeremy, glaring at Josh. However, Josh looked quite pleased with himself for causing a rift between my husband and me. I repented, having forgiven him. He didn’t deserve it. 

With a slight nod towards Josh’s parents, Eros gripped my arm and strode out, pulling me along. Lucy, too, followed meekly, sensing trouble. 

Once we were outside, he pulled me towards his car in a fit of rage. “Get in. This is unforgivable, Anacá. What the f*ck were you doing here with Josh?” 

“Please, stop! I can explain.” I tried to get free, but his grip on my arm felt like a steel band, refusing to loosen. 

“There’s nothing to explain. Why did you lie to me, Anacá? I asked you repeatedly.” He shoved me inside his car and let Lucy in before walking around to the driver’s side.&nb
