Eros's POV
I fixed him a steely stare, not believing him at all. “Her car is here. So stop the act, Hemmingway.” My insides were on fire, and my hands itched to throttle the guy. Who was he bluffing?
He gave me a twisted smirk. “Yes. She parked her car here and left with my parents. Search the house if you don’t believe me.”
Of course, I didn’t believe him. I knew Anacá had nowhere to go. I grabbed his neck, leaning towards him menacingly. The smirk disappeared from his face, and he looked a little scared, gasping for breath. “I don’t f*cking believe you. I’ll definitely search the house.”
“I’m not lying. She has left you forever!” The smirk was back, and I tightened my hold on his neck. A feeling of dread coursed through my body now. What if he was right?
