Book 3: In the Same Room
Anacá's POV
“You can borrow my clothes, Anacá. They’ll fit you fine,” said Theia, and I nodded. Clothes weren’t the primary concern for me now. I was more worried about putting up the act of a perfect wife for his family. I just hoped Eros wouldn’t take advantage of our situation.
“Okay. I hope they arrest Behrakis soon. I’ll return in the morning to handle my bakery and Lucy.”
Eros scowled at me as if he had expected me to stay here forever. “Until the criminal gets captured, you can’t step out of here, Anacá. In the morning, we will get Lucy and your belongings.”
He walked away with a grim look on his face. Although I wanted to argue with him, I had to control myself in front of his parents.
“Relax, Anacá. I’m sure the situation will improve soon. Eros is stressed. I think we should lie low for a few days for our own safety,” said his dad.
