Eros's POV
I warmed the food my cook, Adara, had prepared. She used to help Theia before and knew all my favorites. But it was a relief that I had given them a two-day break. I could look after Anacá with no disturbance whatsoever. I wanted to take care of her.
I carried food and water to Lucy, who sat patiently. “Here you go, girl.”
She wagged her tail and helped herself to the food. I could see how hungry she was. I went back to the kitchen and returned with Anacá’s dinner.
She waited patiently for me in her wheelchair as I set it before her. “Let me feed you. I’m sure you’re exhausted.”
Before she could decline, I sat by her side and fed her. Strangely, she didn’t protest and opened her mouth.
The guards brought in her luggage, and I thanked them.
“Can I get you some more stew?”
“No, please. I’m full.”
