Anacá's POV
I couldn’t believe he was here. After breaking all ties with him, I had expected him to move on and settle down with another woman. Yet he came for me. My heart bled for what I had lost. If I had been normal, we would still have been married. I would have gone back to his father’s house and stood by him as his wife. I would have supported him when he needed me the most. But the paralysis destroyed my life. It forced me to break up with the only one I loved. I couldn’t be so selfish. I couldn’t force him to spend the rest of his life with a crippled wife like me.
“No, Eros. It’s too late. We aren’t married anymore. I can’t go to your house.”
