Book 1: Counterattack

The next day, Knox left for Frankfurt more to escape from reality than work. Yet he didn’t find the peace of mind he was looking for. Adam Smith was well and had left for Fiji to locate Danielle’s whereabouts. Ever since, Knox had been restless, waiting for a positive response from him. He would rush to Fiji and bring Danielle back. He waited for a week, but there was no response from Adam Smith.

Knox returned to LA more depressed than before. Kendall hadn’t contacted him after that fateful night, and he was glad.

“Good that you returned, Knox. I’m meeting Sean tomorrow,” said his grandpa. Knox’s interest was piqued, and he sat down with his grandpa to discuss their course of action.
