Chapter 24. Into to the Another World
Thirty minutes was enough time to prepare the supplies. The sea breeze was quite dangerous, considering Azeeva wore a thin dress. Therefore, Chief Baker lent her a warm mariner’s uniform.
As Chief Baker warmed up the car and Justin loaded the luggage, Azeeva took the time to ensure Escort Lim was comfortable before leaving.
Zee grasped Bodyguard Lim’s hand. The hardened and stiff skin scratched Azeeva’s solar plexus. These hands were used to comfort Zee a lot. Guardsman Lim was like an older brother to Azeeva. He always took Zee out to play, pushing Zee’s bicycle, helping to fly lanterns, or picking grapes in the beautifully manicured official residence.
“I will come home empty-handed,” Azeeva said.
Guardsman Lim’s eyelids twitched upwards. “Looks like… I… found a miracle.”
Zee frowned. He brought his ear closer to Auntie. “What?”
“Please… find someone… who is loyal to you, as well as… someone who accepts herself,” pleaded Guardsman Lim, panting.<
