Chapter 31. Search
The white coat was forcibly waved around, hoping something would fall out of it. The doctor threw it in any direction. His fingers fidgeted in the wind, then deliberately grabbed his hair in frustration. What a pity when his hair was already neat and shiny from the gel.
“Argh! Where exactly is my wallet?”
Reluctant to give up, the doctor flopped down on the floor. His eyes narrowed. He searched the dark corners under the table with the help of his cell phone’s flashlight. But once again, he only got a passing spider and an itchy nose. The dust was so annoying that the doctor couldn’t bear to peek under the table for long.
“Doctor Jeffry?” called the nurse.
“Yes?” Jeff patted his clothes, shaking off the dust.
“Are you all right?”
“Of course, Sister Elle. Do we still have patients?” Jeff glanced at his watch for a moment. “I thought the consultation session was over.”
“True, but there’s one person who asked to see you. She said it’s urgent.”<
