Azeeva’s POV
“I’m just learning to walk,” I said hoarsely.
“LIAR!”
Althar became uncontrollable.

DANG!
He smashed my head repeatedly against the foot of the bed. My body was thrown against the wall. Althar did all this without touching me. I was already weak, a thousand times soft. A desperate cry caught my ear. I felt fresh blood flowing from my temple, down my cheek, with a terrible sting.
He stopped, and I still held onto consciousness even though my eyes were almost closed.
“This isn’t right. I can’t let you get away from me. I have to cut off your legs!”
I was hearing his threat. My consciousness rose sharply. My eyes widened. I was scared. I was afraid that he would do it. Because he’s a crazy psychopath, when he tried to move, I immediately braced myself to pull both his shoulders. I pulled her into my arms. I was holding him tightly while sobbing. His clothes became wet from my crying.
