Chapter 27

 It had been a week since Kai let the people know about our marriage that was coming up in a few days. Ever since that day, my dream has increased and sleeping has been hard for me. Kai's mother was totally against the idea of me becoming the Luna of their pack. I had just woken up as I made my way to the kitchen but halted when I heard voices there. Once again, his mother was here to talk him out of getting married to me. 

 I hid close to the door as I tried to eavesdrop on their conversation, not like I wanted to, but they seemed to be talking about me and that made me curious. “Why choose her? If she ends up becoming me Luna, so many things may happen,” I heard his mother say.

 “She is the one mother and nothing you say would change that,” he said. “Just hear me out, this isn't what your father would want, a mother knows what is right or wrong for her children. What is with you raising another Alpha’s baby?” she told Kai.
