It's midnight and the pain in my chest is becoming unbearable.

Sleep just can't come, my head is a jumble. All I think about now is my mate who is sleeping a few blocks away. I want to hold her in my arms so badly that it hurts. Jax, my wolf has withdrawn with grief, he can't imagine us giving her up so soon. She has misunderstood everything so terribly.
