Chapter 10
JASON
I held back myself om jumping down the tree to attack the hunters who were now walking close to my cabin.
I continued observing them as they walked slowly towards the cabin.
I knew Cassandra must be watching through the window. I hoped she wouldn't make any noise to attract the hunters in breaking down the door of my cabin. If they did that, it would be the third time his door would be broken down in a week. A situation that I didn't want.
The hunters were still moving close to the cabin each high on alert and their hands placed firmly on the trigger of their refiles.
They moved closer to my cabin and got closer and closer. I could not help but feel my heart pounding against my chest. Was I afraid or excited? I thought.
No, I wasn't afraid. Rather I was excited it had been a long time since I had fought. Though this fight wouldn't be much of a challenge to me it would be like a wolf in the middle of a flock of sheep. I still felt excited.
