Chapter 35. I Trust Her

Caroline's POV

"I heard competitions such as this take place sometimes, but not every so often. I do want us to win, and I can't wait to make him swallow his words," I said, and he sighed.

"You should lead the team. I trust you'll do an impressive job in this, so lead the team in this competition and make sure you don't let whatever he said back there weigh you down. If anything, let it be the sole reason for you to rise," he advised, and I smiled happily.

I felt glad that he wanted me to lead the team. I guess he wanted me to finish what had already started, and with the fact that he reassured me that he trusted me made my zeal to win increase.

After we were done talking, I walked outside but paused at a corner when I sighted Liam and Lauwren kissing passionately. I had always suspected these two, probably because of how she always blushed whenever she saw him even though he didn't say anything to make her blush.<
