Chapter 130. Why Hesitate?

Iris’s POV

“I dragged him into a room close by and we mated. After that, I was so tired I slept,” she narrated. “When I came to, I was in a warehouse somewhere outside the pack with some goons waiting to harass me. They tied me to the bed and were ready to… to… but thank goodness, Alpha Merrick came and rescued me!”

What she narrated got me furious and I knew who was responsible for her experiences but when it got to her rescuer, she spoke his name with so much gentleness that I smiled yet again. She was in love with Alpha Merrick, I decided. I hadn’t been sure before but I could tell that the feeling was mutual and I couldn’t be happier. She deserved it.

“Your so called doppelganger is someone I have suspected from the very first that Angela planted,” I revealed. “Her intention may have been to thwart my plans and she succeeded.”

“But why would she want to do that when she wanted the Alpha for hers of?” Anna asked, her brows furrowing in thought.
