Chapter 149. Four Years Later…
Third-Person POV
Iris alighted from the plane, a beautiful girl and a cute boy beside her. She looked around and wheeled her suitcase towards the reception. As she moved, she recalled the words of her friend. The only friend she made while in New York.
“You will meet someone at the airport. He shall be the first male to pique your interest and that is the person for you. You must not miss him. He alone can give you the happiness, you seek!” she advised, smiling mischievously.
“You have started again, Rachael,” Iris said, not taking her seriously.
“I am damn serious,” Rachael said. “You must take the words of this witch seriously.”
Iris had shrugged.
“Mummy, you said you we are going home so we could see daddy,” Laila, her daughter said.
Iris hadn’t said that exactly and she had not had the mind to lie to them that their Dad was dead.
“We shall search for him together,” she had said instead, with a tight smile.
