Iris’s POV

“We need to get a divorce,” I told Sean a week later. His mum was not cutting me any slack at all and I didn’t hold it against her. It was my fault for thinking that I could eventually find happiness with Sean. What was I thinking? I wondered, that I could keep him childless forever? An Alpha, an only son who would want an heir to carry on his legacy?

“What?” he responded shocked. “Have I not been treating you right?” he asked, coming to me, holding both my hands and looking imploringly into my eyes.
