The War God's status was separate; as long as he had enough evidence, he could protect the people's interests, no matter who was involved. He would adapt to the situation.
"On what grounds? On the grounds that you dare to oppress the innocent, misuse the military, and conspire to do evil deeds. Is this not enough evidence? Do you think I called you here for fun?" Matthew stepped forward, closing in on them.
"War God, don't you have battles to fight? You're still young; your place is on the battlefield. Our job is to ensure the people's safety and well-being. We're all doing our part." Clement retorted, trying to downplay the situation.
"At ease? Then why were you all absent when a group of thugs bullied an elderly man? Where were you when those innocent people were imprisoned? Or should I say, that 1.0 bar full of vice is backed by you?" Matthew fiercely confronted Clement.
