Chapter 46. There's Something Wrong

Gabriella's POV

It took Javier and me several hours to go from our previous location to the Blood Lust Pack. We proceeded straight onward to the Palace as a pair. When we entered, Amanda was standing, turned her face toward both of us, and smiled, but I could see from the look in her eyes that she was unhappy that I was here.

Amanda approached me from a close distance and hugged me. I didn't say or do anything in response to her hug, instead standing there.

"Welcome back, Gabriella! You have no idea how much we miss you, especially the maids here," he said as we hugged.

Javier questioned her by asking, "Is dinner ready, Amanda?"

Amanda's gaze was drawn to him. She approached him, kissed his cheek, and said, "It's ready, Javier." She turned around and looked at me before continuing, "Gabriella's return demands a celebration, so I prepared all the delicious food I know."

"Gabriela needs to rest because I know she's been busy today," Javier said.
