Chapter 13

Nathan stood outside the room, his hands clenched into fists. For the first time in a long time, he felt helpless in this situation.

Shortly after, the doctor came out of the room.

“Mr. Nathan!”

Nathan immediately turned his head. “How is he?”

The doctor gave a small smile. “He’s just exhausted. Not enough sleep, not enough food, too much pressure. He needs a good rest.”

Nathan breathed a sigh of relief, but before he could speak, the doctor added something that made him freeze in place.

“She’s pregnant. She should be more careful about her health.”

Nathan fell silent.

His eyes widened, his brain trying to digest what he had just heard.
