Nathan nodded. “I happen to know a place that’s kid-friendly and has good food.”

They headed for the underground parking lot, where Nathan’s car was parked. But just as they arrived, their steps stopped.

Across the parking lot, Damian stood in a dark suit, hugging Isabella, who was checking her phone without interest.

Damian’s gaze went straight to Elena and Nathan, then to Olivia. He snorted softly and walked quickly over to them.

“Elena,” Damian called, sarcastically.

Elena reflexively held Olivia’s hand, her eyes instantly alert. Nathan moved one step forward, his body standing firmly in front of Elena.
