“Because... Mom is pregnant.”

Olivia and Katty’s eyes widened.

“Pregnant?” Olivia exclaimed in surprise.

Delya, who had been dozing off, opened her eyes wide and sat up straight. “Mom is going to have another baby?”

Elena smiled gently. “Yes, dear.”

Katty immediately placed her hand on Elena’s stomach, her eyes sparkling. “Is there a baby in Mama’s stomach? Really?”

Elena nodded. “But it’s still very small.”

“Does that mean I’ll be an older sister again?” Olivia looked thoughtful.

Elena nodded. “Katty too.”

Katty giggled. “I love being an older sister!”

Delya looked confused, then pressed her head against Elena’s stomach. “Mom, if there’s a baby in your stomach, does that mean I won’t be the youngest anymore? Will I also be an older sister?”

Elena stroked her hair. “Yes, dear. You’ll be an older sister. Do you want to be a good older sister?”

Delya paused for a moment, then nodded firmly. “I do! I’ll love him.”<
