Chapter 119
Maya’s POV
Elias and Adrian exchanged glances—Elias’s brow furrowed in irritation, while Adrian wore a self-satisfied, almost smug grin. Amicable, my ass. I’d spoken too soon. The girls in the room only rolled their eyes.
Adrian’s smirk widened as he lifted the long gun, using both hands to steady it in his arms. “My house, my gun.” Elias shrugged one shoulder. “Fine by me. I only need one hand anyway.” “Seriously, just check the door!” Sabrina hissed, her tone sharp.
Grumbling under their breath, Elias and Adrian advanced on the door, their firearms trained on its center in perfect unison. Elias halted a few feet away, puzzling Adrian. “Your house,” Elias goaded, gesturing with his gun. “Open the damn door.” Adrian shot him an annoyed glare but twisted the knob anyway. In one smooth motion, the door swung inward.
