The jet touched down in Los Angeles, and a sleek black car was already waiting for us at the curb. This trip revolved around a time-sensitive contract: Annie had alerted Elias that Adrian planned to fly in this afternoon and sign the deal tonight. But Elias, ever the strategist, had already called our client and secured a meeting within the next couple of hours.
Of course, the client didn’t dare refuse. With Elias sitting in the president’s chair at Hart Corp, no one wanted to look incompetent by turning him down. Our plan: settle into a hotel first, then meet the client. Hart Corp owns hotels worldwide, so booking on such short notice was effortless.
