Maya’s POV
I can’t even fathom how much Elias must have spent to allow us to deck out the Valenbourg Palace with such over-the-top extravagance. Every detail of the venue matched the décor: gleaming gold tabletops, ornate candelabras and chandeliers dripping with crystals, eight-foot floral arrangements, and—even more ridiculously—a six-tier wedding cake. Crap and shit! It was absolutely breathtaking.
I scanned the guests, plastering on my most radiant, joyous smile. They were Kingston’s business partners and clients, so it was essential that I convey genuine delight at marrying their boss.
