Chapter 42
FLASHBACK TO HIS PAST
Ariel stood still, wheezing for breath. Her muscles ached, and she was very terrified. Perspiration filled her face; her body was so pale like a jellyfish, and her braided hair scattered around her face, blinding her sight. It's a bad twilight for her. She was lost. She knew it; she was lost in the woods.
Massive blackwood trees towered above her, branching out in all directions. Fiddles of snow in all directions and larger rocks littered the soil, spreading as far as her eyes could see.
She wasn't anywhere around the Adirondacks, she was sure of that; neither was she on the down street nor the mountain of Ararat. She was in a mysterious place, filled with snow, woods, rocks, and creatures that she couldn't see but could hear.
